How are gummy bears made?
They mix and combine all the ingredients, it is cooked until it thickens into a slurry. The slurry is then poured into gummy bear molds for shaping. The molds are filled with cornstarch, which prevents the gummy from sticking to the molds. After it is poured into the molds, it is cooled to 65º F (18ºC) and sit for 24 hours to let it the cool and set. Then the gummies are tumbled in a light food-grade oil that absorbs the remaining cornstarch and keeps the gummy candies soft and fresh.
The gummy candies are ready to be packaged and sold.!!
